Machined base castings have smooth surfaces and tight tolerances to increase longevity. The large base provides a wide stance and positive load support. It has a 50% safety overload factor per ASME/PASE hydraulic jack standards. There is a safety fluid bypass system that prevents the user from overloading/damaging the jack so it cannot be used beyond the ASME/PASE load-limiting standard. The Ram stop ring prevents the ram from being overextended.
